Guidelines for presenters

Oral Presentation guidelines

General information:
  • All sessions are subject to a limit of 120 min.
  • The time and time zone of the session are established within the program.
  • After each session a breakout room will be organized for the participants, until the next session starts.
Presentation requirements:

There is no official presentation template for IDRiM2022 Conference, however there are some guidelines to follow:

  • Prepare your slides as a PowerPoint file or a PDF
  • Oral presentations will have a duration of 15 minutes, followed by 3-4 minutes of Q&A, and 1 minute for switching the speaker. Chair persons of each session may change the order of the speakers if necessary.
  • All presentations will be recorded, which will be later published on the conference website. If you do not wish to be recorded during your presentation, please send us an email to the addresses mentioned above, no later than 20th of September.
  • We recommend to you to use a sans serif font such as Arial, Calibri or Helvetica;
  • Use good quality pictures and graphics;
  • Make sure there is enough contrast between the color of the text and the presentation’s background.
Presentation submission:
  • Presentation should be submitted via email isumadecip@ubbcluj.ro and matthews.ayuna.5n@kyoto-u.ac.jp  no later than 19th of September.
  •  
  • Please name the document after the presenting author (ppt or pdf)
  • Also, when submitting your presentation, you should name the presenter and the title of the presentation in the subject line;
  • If a presentation is too large to be sent by email, it can be shared through Google Drive, Dropbox, Wetransfer etc.

Virtual poster session guidelines

General information:
  • Each presenter will have up to 4 minutes to present their poster.
  • After each poster presentation there will be 4 minutes allocated for a Q&A section.
  • Attendees will be able to communicate with the author via the Zoom chat function as well.
Poster requirements:

There is no official poster template for IDRiM2022 Conference, however there are some guidelines to follow:

  • Virtual poster presentations should be in a landscape orientation (can be prepared in PowerPoint, and saved in .pdf format);
  • The poster should be one page/slide only;
  • We recommend to you to use a sans serif font such as Arial, Calibri or Helvetica;
  • Make sure to use a font size big enough to make your content easily readable for other attendees. We recommend you to use 24+ font size at least (captions can be smaller);
  • Use good quality pictures and graphics;
  • Make sure there is enough contrast between the color of the text and the poster’s background.
Poster submission:
  • Presentation should be submitted via email isumadecip@ubbcluj.ro and matthews.ayuna.5n@kyoto-u.ac.jp no later than 19th of September;
  • Posters must be submitted in .pdf format;
  • Please name the document after the presenting author (Poster-PresenterSurname_PresenterFamilyName.pdf);
  • Also, when submitting your poster, you should name the presenter and the title of the poster in the subject line;
